ALDON “PREMIUM STRIPPER’ PSTG 11/05

"Premium Stripper" will remove any sealer coating so far encountered, including
urathanes and epoxies. Also excellant for graffitti removal. This product:
• is a controllable semi-gel formula that won't run into baseboards.
• has fume suppression and extended working time before drying.
• is more economical because, unlike a liquid stripper, its active ingredients are held
and working at the surface, instead of soaking in or rapidly evaporating.

Average required is 100–300 sq. ft/gal depending on thickness of coating to be
removed.

When re-sealing, use an Aldon sealer and you won´t need to strip again

APPLICATION TECHNIQUE

Patch test first to insure satisfaction with your application techniques and the final appearance.
Maintain adequate cross ventilation until fully dry. Wear solvent resistant gloves, boots, goggles, and
all else necessary for protection of breathing, eyes, and skin.

All strippers only remove sealer at the surface. None will remove the old sealer from below the
surface. Therefore, the new sealer must be compatible with the old sealer remaining below the surface
or you could experience separation (peeling) between the new and the old sealers. If possible, before
proceeding visit the Aldon web site. There is a great amount of helpful information on stripping and
sealing at the PROBLEM SOLVING Section: “Redoing A Previously Sealed Surface"

CAUTION: Safely vent pressure by keeping clear of the cap and liner, unscrew cap slowly and make
a pinhole in any cap liner left on the can. Pouring from a can is easier with the long side down and the
spout up. Store in a cool place. Close container after each application.

• Shake can first, then apply as is using solvent resistant brush or short nap roller to spread over a
comfortable size working area. Do not allow to contact areas other than where finish removal is
desired. Insert disposal instructions here if room does not allow below.

• Let stand until seal blisters (approx. 2 to 3 minutes), but do not allow to dry. If it is drying too fast, it
is not being applied thick enough. Too thin a coating will require more applications and more work.
Careful brush movement will move the “curdled’ sealer out of the way and allow the stripper to
continue working on the next layer below while still active and liquid.

• Remove before dry. Pick up with wet rags, but keep water to a minimum. The careful use of
lacquer thinner can be helpful as a final cleaning step for any sealer/stripper residue. Wait a day, if
possible, to evaluate the results before proceeding to the next step.

• Very thick coatings mean more pounds of sealer to break down, therefore, more stripper
applications may be necessary. After stripping, test floor´s absorption of new sealer before proceeding.
See “Tips & Troubleshooting’ on the product page at aldonchem.com if you do not see the expected results.
RLG: Insert disposal instructions here, or above if no room.
