Contractor, Painting

Of particular interest to a painter doing sealing projects

We are finding more and more of our products being applied by painters. Probably because the application of liquids falls within your field of expertise, even though your knowledge of the stone, tile, etc. might be less than you would like for a high comfort level.

The following will increase that comfort level: You are used to spraying liquids and all our labels say don't spray.

On floors, the reasons to not spray still hold true. With surfaces of varying absorption ranges, allow sufficient liquid (i.e.,a puddle) to let each square inch absorb what it needs. You can accomplish this same goal with spray equipment so long as the difference of "deep penetration" vs. a light coating is understood by the applicator.

On walls, your level of expertise allows you to use a sprayer and accomplish the same goal better than the rest of us. So long as you understand that you need penetration into, not just a layer on top of, the surface.

Sealers that we see in paint stores are the same as found in hardware stores, home improvement outlets and warehouse type retailers. There is severe price pressure in selling to those stores, so the manufacturer cannot afford to provide the formulations that Aldon provides to our market. The tile industry in particular, and the masonry industry almost as much, are focused on performance, longevity, and ease of maintenance in difficult situations. As the market is willing to pay just a little more for this level of quality assurance, we are not priced out of the ability to provide it. If you have had unsatisfactory experience in the past, it may be for that reason.

There is no reason your paint supplier cannot provide you with our products. Presently, they probably don't know anything about Aldon because we have never marketed to that industry. You, or your supplier, can order from the web site immediately.
