"Clear" caulking is available at all paint, hardware, and home improvement stores in small tubes as well as larger cartridges.

Tips:

  • Make sure it says it is clear. Many are white, tan, etc. Some are white, but dry clear.
  • Make sure it says it is "paintable". That means that a subsequent sealer application will be able to bond to it.
  • Test one small area before proceeding with the entire project.
  • Observe all cautions on the package.
Here are two brand types that we have used successfully and are usually available everywhere. If not, try another with the same characteristics. It does not have to be a silicone or silicone rubber. It only has to do what you need.
