We do not maintain lists of contractors to recommend, however, here are some tips that will increase your confidence when you are interviewing contractors:
  1. Does the contractor indicate a willingness to look at the Aldon web site and/or label instructions to see if they agree with how things should be done?
    • The point is not that they agree, but that they are willing to consider other ideas (including yours).

  2. Are you hearing "I have been doing this for 30 years and I am an expert"?
    • Uh Oh!

  3. Do not argue with your contractor or force them to use Aldon products if they do not want to on their own. If you have already purchased our products and your contractor does not want to use them for any reason, this is a great indicator that they have their interests ahead of yours. You can easily find a contractor who wants to use Aldon products.
    • The choice of products and procedures needs to be the contractors, else they will have something to blame.

  4. Last, do whatever makes you the most comfortable. If you feel that you are being "pushed" by your contractor in a direction that makes you uncomfortable - keep in mind:
Any hired person who will listen to your directions and follow our label instructions will do as good a job, or better, than professionals who try to convince you that their way is the only way.

If the job is already underway, or finished, and is a disaster - take heart. If the contractor is reputable, they will find how to undo or resolve the problems on our web site. If the contractor is unwilling, or is in a big rush to fix the problems, you will have less frustration to just not fight with them, "bite the bullet", and find someone else. It is worse to have them continue to come back, disrupt your home each time, and continue to do the wrong things.
