Our telephone policy:

The reason you may want to telephone us is to get immediate and personalized answers to all your questions.  We do give you those answers, but have found the fastest and most accurate process is what we have created on the page that you just left.  Trying to answer you with incomplete information is risky for you and we do not do that.  We must have good and complete information first.

The prior page has a link to a page for your situation, so be sure to select the correct one to speed up the process.  The linked pages quickly acquire the information that allow us to assist you rapidly, instead of multiple phone calls over a longer time.

Regarding telling you what to do and what to use on your project:

We are the manufacturer of the chemical products and you can purchase them from our web site for pick up or delivery from our closest warehouse.  We are not a store selling products manufactured by others.  You are communicating directly to the manufacturer without people in between.

True customer service is telling you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear so that a sale is made.

Something you may not realize, but we have proven true since 1984, is that anybody, including us, that tells you to use a certain product in a certain situation is doing you a tremendous disservice.  There is only one person looking at the project and the results of testing - that is you.  Therefore, you are more expert than we are at judging the validity of your choices.  We will give you guidance in making those choices and testing, but for your protection, nobody should every go beyond that.

Yes, you can walk into a local store and have a salesperson make you feel good about using whatever they recommend.  They are probably well meaning, but there are a few things you need to understand:

  • Every project is potentially different than another project using the exact same materials.  Variables in surface type batches, grout batches, and job conditions are much more than most people realize.
  • Store salespeople must sell you whatever chemical products they have in stock.  Those limited choices may not be what is best for you.
  • If we do not have confidence in what you are doing and the benefit of Aldon products to you, we will tell you so.  We want all successful projects, not just sales.  We get too much business from word of mouth to jeopardize that reputation.
  • The training of store salespeople is about the surfaces they sell.  There is little or no training about the proper care and protection of those surfaces.
  • Store salespeople sell hundreds of different surfaces.  Each one of those could be treated differently to get the results you want versus what someone else wants.  Store salespeople could not be expected to know all the combinations of surfaces and cleaners and/or sealers.  This can result in damaged surfacing and does.  We hear about it all the time.
  • Many salespeople understand all the uncertainty and simply avoid the issue of proper protection.  You probably have noticed this.  Unfortunately, this results in preventable problems for you.

You will save yourself money, time, work, and frustration if you understand these concepts:

  • Aldon products do everything we describe.  That does not mean a particular product will be the one to do everything you want.  Testing samples is the answer to that.
  • We will treat you like an intelligent adult who cares about your money and time, and very importantly - the value of your flooring.  We will furnish the best information and guidance possible and let you make and validate your own decisions.  We will not try to "sell" you our products.  Their performance will do that.
  • It is extremely important for you to find out at the testing stage that the job situation was not what you thought.  Misinformation about surfacing from sellers to buyers is very, very common.  If you do not see what you expected in testing, that is good and that is why you test.  Those results lead to adjusting to the reality and allow you to reach your goals without the frustration of having done the entire project and needing to do it again.
  • Do it right the first time by being methodical, doing the research on our web site, and testing your decisions.  The least of the issues created by rushing is having to move furniture out more than once.
  • The Aldon web site (Surface Types) shows you what you need to know about your surface type and confirm it is indeed what you were told and what you think.
  • The Aldon web site (Surface Types) shows you how the different sealers look on your surface type.
  • The Aldon web site (Sealer Selector) enables you to choose the results you want.
  • The Aldon web site answers every question you have about sealers.
  • The Aldon web site lets you order samples for testing.

Hopefully, you now understand why a phone number does not provide you with what you really need and you see the value of our program.  This program works!  We have been helping people for a long time and this program is why we have 99.8% satisfaction with the process. The other .02% insist on talking to an "expert" and just refuse understand how that puts them at risk.  Sadly, we must advise those few to seek assistance elsewhere because we refuse to vary from what works best for our customers.
