Quantity Guidelines For:    Fine Stone Sealer      (Not including grout joints)

Typical Low Absorption ( for example; honed limestone)
       Approx. 500 - 800 sq. ft./gal

Typical Zero Absorption ( for example; polished marble)
      Approx. 1200+ sq. ft./gal

Consider ordering smaller quantities to establish results and quantity needed.

Quantities are based on dense, low absorption finishes ("polished", "honed") of granite, marble, and limestone without grout joints. The more absorbent surfaces can be sealed just as well with one of our other products. See the "Surface Types" page for your surfacing before deciding.

(Note: this sealer is more expensive than our other sealers, however, price does not mean it is necessarily the best choice for your surfacing. It is only the best choice if your surfacing fits the unique criteria required by the surface type and the finished appearance desired.)

Grout will absorb more sealer per square inch than the "fine finish" stones, therefore, adjust quantity estimates accordingly.

One 16 oz. pint is .125 of a gallon. Therefore, if one gallon of sealer will do 800 square feet of your type surfacing, one pint of sealer will do 800 * .125 = 100 square feet.

Test first with a small amount of product so enough remains for another application. If the expected results are not seen:

  1. Click on   on the product page.
  2. If that does not answer your situation - email our tech. department and we will assist you.

Remember, if you don't see the expected results, it is not the product - the situation is other than you thought. All Aldon products do exactly what we describe.
